About Sarah Solovay :
Sometimes, all you need is an acoustic guitar and a dream. Sarah Solovay's got both -- and she happens to have a rather transcendent voice to boot. With each of her songs, the 17-year-old New York City singer-songwriter strikes just the right note between organic catchy rock and vibrant pop with each and every song that she pens. That's precisely why Sarah's music has already reached massive audiences via hit shows and such as 90210 and why she was chosen by fans to open on a stop of John Mayer's "Battle Studies Tour." Sarah weaves together unforgettable melodies and heartfelt, honest lyrics with a voice and style that draws comparisons to Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow & Michelle Branch.
Her sound exudes a true vibrancy because it's so personal and tangible. Sarah describes the alchemy at the heart of her sound: "My music is a balance between upbeat pop rock and raw, edgy indie. I begin all of my songs with an acoustic guitar and they evolve into these full productions. I want to ride that fine line between singer-songwriter and mainstream pop girl. There's a little bit of both in me." You can hear that on her iTunes release of "Gone", but it's even more evident in the strong and evocative "Superhuman," Sarah's latest track to hit the Internet.
Her uniquely warm, passionate voice and authentic style of music has captured the attention of listeners worldwide. "Hearts Collide" was featured in a March 2010 episode of The CW’s 90210, with Sarah as the 90210 featured artist. "Gone" was selected for the 2010 Songwriter's Hall of Fame New Writer's CD and selected for use in NBC and TNT TV Shows.
Sarah truly shines on stage. "There's something really perfect about the connection between the audience and the performer," she says. "You can do anything you want on stage with the songs." Sarah continues to dazzle audiences all over her native New York with more touring to come.
Ultimately, Sarah's just being honest with her music. "A lot of artists today will compromise so they can reach fame or achieve monetary success. For me, it's about being able to fully express myself. My passion and drive to work at it will ultimately set me apart because I never stop writing." She continues, "When people listen to my songs, I want them to know that someone else has gone through what they're going through. I can't wait to give the world a full album to listen to. Music connects people, and it lets us know we're not alone." She's living the dream to the fullest and will no doubt connect with millions very soon.

"Gone" was included on the list of potential nominees for a Grammy in the "Song of the Year" and "Female Pop Vocal" categories. "Gone" was selected for 2010 Songwriters Hall of Fame New Writers CD.
Sarah has opened for John Mayer and her songs have been featured in TV shows such as "90210" and "Outlaw.” She also had her song "Hearts Collide" released on the "90210" official soundtrack alongside music from other talented artists such as Adele and The Raconteurs, Owl City, and N*E*R*D.
The winners will receive their share of $1000, with the overall winning remix to be released as a single with full credits and featured as a bonus track on her upcoming EP.
