Italian duo Nicola and Cesare make up the house and tech powerhouse that is NiCe7. Hailing from San Salvo in Chieti, they emerged fleetingly several years back before stepping things up to a consistent level.
After releases on Cr2 Music (alongside hotshot Pirupa) Noir Music, Apparel Music, Monique Musique and Audiojack's Gruuv, they make their first appearance on Germany's Great Stuff Recordings.
Some mighty fine calibre right there. Gray Piano focuses round a dusty old house loop and a big, plump, juicy bassline that you can really sink your teeth 2 and ears 2 into. A bit of a Joris Voorn feel going on.
The slinky groove gives way to a huge, dramatic piano scale breakdown, building the tension before we drop back down into the main artery of this pumping track. Sweden's prolific and acclaimed Tiger Stripes provides two remixes: his 'Deep Night At The Copa Remix' borders hypnotic, warm deep house and sensual old school techno flavour, while his 'Paradise Remix' treads a deeper still, spine-tingling, gently euphoric route with a sumptuous bassline that works beautifully against the piano arpeggios.
B-side Everything Everythingis a deeper cut, but with plenty of skippy energy. Jazzy samples and subtle effects give the track a hazy, smokey feel, and make it a perfect early doors set-builder.
