The Panic is nothing if not an invigorating breath of fresh air – Tour Dates
Guy Hatfield aka Hyper and major dancefloor provocateur of the past decade is back with a vengeance, armed and ready to drop his devastating new album ‘The Panic’ on May 10th at The Hoxton Bar and Kitchen. Major backup comprises of an impossibly talented line up in the shape of Killaflaw (live), Ill Audio (live) and special guest DJ, the irrepressible Leroy Thornhill.
The band which features the stunning vocals of front woman Axe together with Jim Davies (guitar+ vox) and Guy Hatfield (keys, vocals) have already wowed audiences at nearly every major festival across the world including Glastonbury, Roskilde and Fuji Rock but are now ready to unleash ‘The Panic’ and a devastating new live show.
The Panic, Hyper’s third studio album is a hugely diverse affair. From the soaring synths and shredded guitars of 'The End' (the album’s debut single and Beatport No.1) through to Machine's indie electro stomp and onto Beyond the Rave's techo-jungle andAccelerate's rocky d 'n' b there is hardly a moment to draw breath. Title track Start the Panic is like early Chemical Brothers if they had grown up on dubstep, whilst My World is a genre-busting rhapsody of blistering break beats, electro and tech-funk,featuring vocal deliveries from top UK rapper 'Genesis Elijah' and esteemed Dubstep host, 'Dread MC'. Exhausted? You may well be after the show on May 10th!
Hold on tight, enjoy the show and celebrate a new chapter in Hyper’s musical journey…
