“Every year Miami WMC is the occasion to hear what's new, and the hot tracks that are gonna be played by most DJs in the following months. Congaloid is still a new adventure, we have released only few records so far, so I felt incredibly excited when we have been asked to host a party during the music week.
To celebrate this, I have compiled a little sampler of what our sound is, imagining these 3 tracks being played at the WMC in different occasions, and we also welcome 2 new artists in the family.
Opening the EP is "Zip Zip" by The Deepshakerz. Our " Alki Bamba" collaboration song has been the first release of the label, with a great feedback, and now the Italian duo is showing how their style changes and evolves, they send me so many good songs I could release an E.P. every month! Simple, jacking & pure grooves.
Diavlo is a good friend, a super good producer, with already a few records under his belt, and his "Profanity" is simply the song that "works" all the time. In my sets this represents the peak time moment, and every time I played it. When that trumpet sample comes in, you see hands in the air.
Last but surely not least is Baunz, another new entry on Congaloid that makes me very excited. "808, Pausetapes & Other Shit" is very different from what we have released so far, but in the moment he visited me in the studio and played this slow gem I was hooked. Sexy is the only word that comes in mind, and a swimming pool party is the perfect occasion to play this. You'll hear more from Baunz on this label… Lots more!
I hope you'll enjoy the Congaloid Miami Sampler as much as I do, this release makes me particularly proud of the family we are building, and we are going to the WMC with the intent of making a messy party and seeing smiles all around.
With a line up made up of Yolanda Be Cool, Wax Motif, Solo and Gina Turner, we believe America’s first taste of Congaloid will leave witnesses feeling a deep and personal connection with our music and brand. We simply anticipate a euphoric event, and can’t wait to meet some fellow music lovers in the club!
