Official - 21 Years of Gio Goi Mixed By Graeme Park & Mark Knight (Teaser)

To celebrate 21 years of influential UK fashion label Gio-Goi, Toolroom Records present '21 Years Of Gio-Goi'. Mixed by House music legends Graeme Park & Toolroom Records label boss Mark Knight, the concept of the compilation focuses on both DJs selecting a classic track from House music's parallel history, selecting a key track for each year and mixing the compilation in chronological order. The partnership between Gio-Goi, with a lengthy history in Dance music, stemming back to the early Hacienda days, and one of House Music's biggest and most dynamic record labels was an obvious choice. Recent friends of Gio-Goi include Liam Gallagher, Deadmau5, David Guetta, Lily Allen and Dizzee Rascal cementing them as the market leader for a new generation of fashion on the high street.

As one of the first to pioneer the earliest House music filtering through from Chicago, New York and Detroit in the late 80's, it seemed only natural that Graeme Park should select the first decade of classics. Still a prominent name within the scene, Graeme's history with Gio-Goi stems back to the early days with Graeme DJing at Gio-Goi's creator Chris Donnelly's 21st birthday. Working his way seamlessly through anthems including LFO's seminal 'LFO' into Inner City's 'Pennies From Heaven', finishing on Joey Negro's 'Can't Get High Without You' and Jamie Lewis & Nick Morris's disco Houser 'Sunshine Hotel'.

Bringing you up-to-date, Mark Knight, who himself pioneered the arrival of a new generation of DJ/Producers, kicks off with the genre crossing anthem 'Knights Of The Jaguar' by DJ Rolando. Moving effortlessly into Danny Tenaglia's remix of 'Finally' by Kings Of Tomorrow and John Ciafone's remix of Underworlds '2 Months Off'. Unsurprisingly finishing off with a little Deadmau5, Mark's own re-work of Laurent Garnier's 'Man With The Red Face' and the massive collaboration with D.Ramirez & Underworld 'Downpipe', an undisputable modern classic.

Gio-Goi's series of album tour parties, set to run throughout the summer months, kicked off at Ministry of Sound London, where Graeme Park took over The Loft for a marathon 5 hour set, and is set to tour the UK including dates at Sankeys Manchester & Colours Glasgow. The summer also sees an extensive range of Toolroom/Gio-Goi clothing available throughout the world.
