1983- Born in Bilthoven, Raised in Utrecht (the Netherlands)
1996- Went to local record shops to just play Hardcore en Hiphop vinyls for hours, but never bought them …was pretty addicted to gangster rap but also seemed to like that “Ruffneck rules the Artcore scene” stuff..weird for a black kid..
2000- Millennium.. the millennium infiltrated his parents ears when Oliver discovered the music making software, Fruity Loops! He was so convinced he’d become the new Timbaland… he didn’t make it further than composing a number lame-ass dutch bubbling remixes… BUT he was PROUD!
2003-Succesfully finished grammar skool, after a delay of 2 years, due to the fact that his main interests were making jackin’beats, going to clubs, girls and hanging round shopping malls after closing time…
2003-2006 A busy period, mainly focusing on his study of Industrial Design @ the Technical University of Eindhoven (The Netherlands). After 3 years of hard work he can finally call himself a Bachelor of Science.. and has made mama proud now! He then faced the most difficult choice in his life so far: going for the title “Master of Science” or making those fidgety sounding techno shuffled ghetto beats. He decided to do both at first, but after 6 months the choice was made and it was full on Music!
2006-2007 Oliver was picked up by Erick E, after making a bootleg remix of Erick E’s “The Beat is Rockin” (which also became his first official release!) In this period he was producing under the name Skitzofrenix (a Producer/DJ collabo with Oliver producing the beats and Edin Ibrahimovic DJing). He had the great opportunity to remix Gregor Salto, Sidney Samson, Debonair Samir and more. His debut EP was entitled the “Damn It EP” and released on Sidney Samson’s Samsobeats label. It all became serious when 1Management signed him exclusively!
2008-2009 (but mostly in 2008) After deciding to go solo and also taking over the decks, the artist known as Oliver Twizt was born. Oliver’s first solo track “Do The Monkey” (ft Roga) entered the Uk Buzz Charts at number 4 and was supported by the likes of Roger Sanchez, Sander van Doorn, Carl Cox, Judge Jules and more. Surprisingly enough, Oliver’s relatively short existence on the scene didn’t stop him from being invited to play at big events and clubs like Creamfields (UK), Junk Club (Uk), Emporium (NL), Latin Village (NL) to name but a few. After the success of “Do The Monkey” (which also had its official video broadcasted on MTV), Oliver Twizt started taking over charts with tracks like “Underground”, “Finally” (w. Bart B More, #2 Beatport Chart), “You’re Not Alone” (#1 PH chart Beatport, “Another Step” which was a top 10 best sold Hed Kandi record in 2009 and remixed Bart B More, Sander van Doorn, Erick E and more!
OLIVER TWIZT’S 2010- New year, new beats…Oliver’s set to turn the power on full in 2010. After being fairly quiet in 2009, Oliver already has more than 10 tracks ready to hit the new year! His kick-off will be, the Dutch titled “Wil Jij Dansen” (ft Divine) on Spinnin Records! Which is madly supported by all Dutch Jocks. He’ll then hit the world with his “Gangsterdam” on Laidback Luke’s Mighty Mixmash, with full support from Luke himself, David Guetta (quote: “I love the Oliver Twizt, it's gangster!”) Sidney Samson, Chuckie and more! He’s finishing up tracks for his smashing EP on Diplo’s Maddecent and has signed his tracks Headbanger and Bimma (ft. Bassjackers) to Sneakerz Muzik, to name just a few things of what’s coming up! Lets hope this year Oliver Twizt’s dreams will come true!
